Turns out, like most things, podcasting is better w/ friends. But what if your only friend lives in New York 😢? Or Canada 😱?? Or you’ve only met on twitter 💀??? Are you just f@#$ed? Do you have to podcast alone? Forever!? Or worse, just not podcast at all?!?!

Honestly, thank god. Because today, right now, Bumpers (download now), is launching a new feature that we call: “Remote Recording”.

Remote Recording works by giving “you” the ability to connect to “me” — from anywhere in the world (using the ✨internet✨). Wow.

Connect to your friend in Palo Alto to start that fireside-chat design podcast, add your friend in Marfa to talk about the new art wave, or your friend in Paris to talk about spongebob memes…

And best of all, we’ve made the whole thing *super* easy (as long as you have an iPhone. If you don’t have iPhone…you’re out of luck. sry. that’s our bad. gg)

It works like this:

  1. The host taps the “remote record” button on the record screen.
  2. The host sends the room URL to their remote friends.
  3. Once the friends have joined, the host starts the recording session like normal.

When the recording is finished, the audio is pushed to the host for editing and the friends are all done.

We think this is going to be HUGE and really make it easier for y’all to create some great new content. Download bumpers now, give it a shot, and let us know what you think!! thanks!
