Founded in May 2021, the goal of Bundlr Network was straightforward: make data uploads to Arweave more accessible and faster.

In less than a year, Bundlr has partnered with leading layer 2’s such as Polygon, Boba Network, and Arbitrum, to offer developers easy access to Arweave. It has also partnered with leading NFT marketplaces such as Metaplex and Solsea so they can store crucial data such as NFT metadata on Arweave.

Today, Bundlr is now responsible for processing ~90% — 98% of all data uploaded to Arweave.

Arweave is the only solution for permanent, decentralized data storage and the most secure way to store data. It acts as a permanent hard drive and uses a one-time payment model that makes it easy to upload data. After the initial fee, uploaded data will live forever on Arweave. No more payment is required. Additionally, there are no storage limitations on Arweave, which unlocks new possibilities for developers who can now create even more engaging, robust platforms for their audience without worrying about hitting data limits.

Arweave is the only solution for long-term storage, especially for NFTs. We are seeing more and more developers and artists opt for storage on Arweave because of its unparalleled offerings.

Bundlr makes Arweave faster and easier to access by enabling fast, multi-chain support and increasing upload speeds by ~3000x. Once uploaded to Bundlr, the data is instantly accessible to users. It also enables native support across various blockchains, and lets users pay for uploads in different tokens such as ETH, SOL, MATIC, DOT, and more. Bundlr operates as an aggregator and caching layer that sits on top of Arweave. It collects many pieces of data before submitting them onto Arweave in a single transaction.

“The goal of Bundlr was to help Arweave reach the masses. The technology Arweave offers is amazing, but it needed to be faster and easier to use. We were able to achieve that with our technology,” explains Josh Benaron, Founder and CEO of Bundlr Network.

Bundlr Network’s technology launched in August 2021, which allowed for a significant increase of data uploads to Arweave

Since February 2022, transactions on Arweave have increased ~977% year-over-year. Bundlr has played a tremendous role in increasing data uploads to Arweave since the launch of its technology in August 2021. The two companies have worked closely together over the past year, taking on initiatives such as permanently preserving history on Arweave.

In the past month, more than 24 million historical documents have been saved on Arweave. The initiative was led by Sam Williams, the founder and CEO of Arweave to ensure that our world history is recorded in a safe, untouchable environment. Bundlr was a close partner in this mission, developing ARchiver, a set of tools containing ARticle and TwittAR, which allows anyone to store articles and tweets on Arweave.

Bundlr will continue its efforts partnering with companies as well as preserving historical data on Arweave.

“There are so many opportunities for permanent data storage in web3 and beyond. We’re excited to continue growing and making Arweave more accessible,” says Josh.
