Refuel on Bungee
TLDR: don’t worry about having GAS while bridging ever again!
Our mission at Bungee is simple: to make you fall in ❤️ with bridging. We began on this journey by aggregating all your favorite bridges under one platform to ensure you jump across chains in the most efficient way. However, we noticed bridging for users WAS still not seamless!
There’s a big problem our users commonly talk about: As soon as they bridge to the desired chain & about to ape into that juicy yield, they realize they are stuck with no GAS!
To overcome this, users currently do one of the following:
- Log in to a CEX, see if withdrawals to the ‘Chain X’ are supported, and move gas money over
- Request funds from friends or explore shady faucets online!
- Check if any bridge supports bridging of native token of Chain X from Chain A & bridge again

We’re thrilled today to introduce our latest feature, Refuel, to solve your GAS woes and provide a completely delightful bridging! Refuel auto-detects if you don’t have native tokens on the destination chain & airdrops them in exchange for native tokens on the source chain.
The Refuel feature on Bungee means you can be certain that you always have GAS post bridging!
How does Refuel work? How can I try it out?
To use Refuel users need to provide native tokens on the source chain and in exchange receive the native tokens on the destination chain. Refuel works by detecting the deposit on the source & sending an equivalent amount of tokens to the same address on the destination.
Eg: say a user deposits $10 worth of MATIC on Polygon, they get $10 in ETH on Arbitrum.
Today, we launch Refuel v1, which is available as a tab on the Bungee app. This acts like a ‘faucet’ where you can select source and destination, choose required movement and zap some gas to the destination!
Refuel will soon be part of the user flow in Bungee, and airdrop tokens whenever you lack gas on the destination while bridging.
