“We must understand that sadness is an ocean, and sometimes we drown, while other days we are forced to swim.”

R.M.Drake

Joy, sadness, guilt, regret and yearning for the moments that just slipped from hands like sand is natural. Just as there are different seasons in a year, we have to move through myriad experiences to the last breath.

Our days are coloured with our desires, wishes, dreams and a deep longing to realise them. We make plans to put in our best efforts to execute them to satiate our desire to be joyful. On the other hand some goals remain unfulfilled like the sight of a distant mirage that appears to be closer yet quite far from our reach.

It is very likely to feel unhappy at what we do not have in accordance with our choice. Should we let this feeling overwhelm us and make it powerful to leave a trajectory of negative thoughts in our minds? We can not be so cruel to ourselves by sliding down into a dark abyss of despair?

“Storms draw something out of us that calm seas don’t.”

Bill Hybels

It is the rough weather that teaches us to protect ourselves from the severity of change in our environment.

If God has put His light in all the beings, we should be ashamed to give way to pessimism that is darkness. Instead we should learn to surrender before His will.

It is just our perspective to look at the past, present and future that matters.

We may vacillate between different opinions but learn to stay strong in the strong wind.

YOU CAN BE IN THE STORM, BUT DON’T LET THE STORM GET IN YOU.”

JOEL OSTEEN
