Wellness Retreat Brings Joy to Life
You too can turn your life around from mental stress to happiness
Every day I read about Wellness Retreats. Our newspapers are full of pictures of various places where such retreats are taking place enticing everyone to join and bring joy to their lives.
I wanted to go but I was not interested in these premium kinds of hotels for retreats. I would be happier with a homely place or a farm with outdoor and indoor spaces and enjoy yoga and meditation.
Many friends of mine plan at least one retreat every year and more perhaps but whenever I thought about it the places would be filled up and I would forget about it.
A friend of mine was a Vippasana trainer and was keen that I join their camp. When I heard of their isolation time and meager food for 7 days it did not interest me. Who would like to be isolated in a place without even a phone and get nothing to eat?
It did not give me the eagerness to try it out at all. so I stayed quiet about my desire to go to an interesting place.
I like scenic places but nothing attracted me. Then one day the college principal where I was working asked me if I would like to join a retreat arranged by the college.
