Are there kids at Burning Man?

Yes! There are lots of kids at Burning Man. They are the coolest kids you will meet as well. If you are thinking about bringing your kids with you to the Playa, make sure you check out the videos and download the Burning Man Family Guide. More news can be found on The Burning Man site.

A mini-documentary about what it’s like to be a kid at Burning Man …and what it’s like to be a parent. This movie touches on the history, benefits, challenges, and various issues kids & parents face out on the playa in Black Rock City, NV.

Kids Ticket Prices

Anybody under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian aged 21 or older in Black Rock City. Children 12 and under will be admitted for free, but (as of 2015) must have a Kid’s Ticket, which helps the organization to better understand the composition and diversity of BRC’s citizens. Children ages 13 and older require full-price tickets. Be prepared to show proof of age.

The Black Rock Explorers

The Black Rock Explorers is a program for Burner kids based on the 10 Principles. Camps and services host educational field trips, events and volunteer opportunities for kids. Explorers earn patches, tokens or pins for things learned, survival skills achieved, good deeds and volunteering. Visit their website and Facebook page.
