Trading Peer-To-Peer
Trading peer-to-peer is arguably the best way to buy cryptocurrency because you don’t have to pay fiat deposit fees or trading fees. When you trade peer-to-peer, you buy/sell directly from/to another individual. Exchanges that allow this basically provide an escrow service so that the trusting strangers doesn’t become an issue. When you trade peer-to-peer, you trade directly with another individual. There are peer-to-peer platforms that allow both traders to interact directly without escrowing the crypto. These are automated and run by pre-programmed software and hence do not usually require any human involvement. The software matches the buyer and seller based on the terms selected by both parties. However, if there’s a dispute, the third party can step in to help resolve this.
One major advantage of trading peer-to-peer is that you can buy/sell at prices better than the current market price (depending on the price set by the trader).
