Seppuku Event: Introducing Ronin

Event Details
Beginning in Season 2, those who hold a Bushido and Daitō will have the chance to burn both to receive a new character class, the Ronin. This is a free mint, you just pay gas.
This burning event, known as Seppuku, will begin March 4th at 10AM EST and end March 7th at 10AM EST, or until the mint limit of Ronin is reached; 2,000 total. Any Ronin that are left unminted will cease to exist. Reveal will happen 48 hours after the last Ronin is minted.
We’ve created a window to allow everyone to come and mint flexibly. This will mitigate concerns over gas wars and help you all find opportune gas prices. It’s important to note that we’ll be implementing the same gas-saving updates we saw during Day of the Daitō.
2,000 will be the maximum amount of Ronin created. Naturally, this means that the maximum reduction in population for the Bushidos and Daitōs collections will also be 2,000. This event will make Bushidos, our genesis collection, even more scarce, while introducing an exciting new character class. Some have asked why more Ronin can’t be created. The answer: Bushidos will always be our main focus and the core to our story. We cannot diminish the collection population. That being said, Ronin will play a major role in the lore of Bushidos, while also bringing more bold, eye-catching art to the NFT space.
On March 2nd 10AM EST, Sashimono holders will have roughly 48 hours to mint 1 Ronin per each Sashimono they hold. This does not mean they cannot mint more when the window opens, just that they may only mint 1 early. This means that a maximum of 888 (Sashimono population) Ronin can be minted early, leaving a minimum of 1,112 Ronin left for public mint. Sashimonos will not be burned during this process. Only a Bushido and Daitō are burned for each Ronin created.
In the past, our royalty fee has always been 5%. For the Ronin collection, it will be increased to 10%. As our community knows, every single mint apart from our genesis collection has been a free mint. This increase is designed purely to help bring more money back into Bushidos for project development. We have big ambitions, and that requires resources.
Ronin Details
Ronin will be a completely distinct collection. There will be different variables and elements contributing to your Ronin’s appearance and rarity. Those specific details will be revealed later on.
There is one exciting detail we can share.
A samurai and their sword share a deep bond. That’s why the Daitō you burn during Seppuku will be the Daitō your newly created Ronin will wield.
Burn a Truth, wield a Truth.
Burn a Guardian, wield a Guardian.
Burn an Eternal, wield an Eternal.
Burn a…Wield a…You get it.
This feature will give minters more freedom and say over the appearance of their Ronin. Daitōs will also be one of the rarity variables for the collection.
