Oat based, banana flavoured pancakes. I’m not making any modifications to this recipe aside from suggesting to embed extra banana slices while cooking. Otherwise, this recipe is perfect as-is.

4.01 — Process Model

Oatmeal Banana Pancakes

4.02 — Process Summary

The short version:

  • Gather the tools & ingredients
  • Add the oats, eggs, egg whites, milk, baking powder, salt, and banana chunks to the blender
  • Slice an extra banana
  • Set the frying pan to [Medium] heat
  • Blend until smooth — 20–30 seconds usually does it
  • Add the butter to the frying pan and distribute it evenly
  • Pour the mix into the frying pan, forming pancakes about 10 cm across (or as big as you’d like)
  • As it cooks, add 3–4 banana slices on top.
  • Once bubbles begin to form & pop on top of the pancake, flip it.
  • Continue cooking for another 1–2 minutes
  • Serve & top with more banana slices and/or Maple Syrup

Gather the tools & ingredients required.

Add 1 & 1/2 cups of rolled oats to the blender:

Step 1.04 — Add Eggs & Egg White
Add 2 eggs and 1 egg white (see Resource #001 if you are unsure how to separate the whites).

Step 1.06 — Chop & Add 1 Banana
Roughly chop one banana, this will help it to blend. Though if you have a higher quality blender it should be fine to just chuck the whole thing in.

Step 1.07 — Slice 1 Banana
Slice the second banana, these will be used to either embed in the pancake or to put on top.

Step 1.08 — Start Heating the Pan
Set the frying pan to [Medium] heat:

Step 1.10 — Blend the Mixture
Blend for 20–30 seconds, until smooth. You should not be seeing any chunks. The timing may vary depending on which blender you’re using.

Step 1.11 — Add the Butter
Add the butter, then move/shake the pan to distribute it evenly:

Step 1.12 — Add the Mix
Pour about 1/2 cup of the mix into the hot frying pan. Best to usually just pour slowly and eyeball it until you get the size of pancake you want:

Step 1.13 — Add Banana Slices
After allowing the pancakes to cook for about 10 seconds, add 3–4 banana slices:

When the bubbles that form on top of the pancakes begin to pop, it’s time to flip.
