As an internet marketer, you must recognize the importance of presentations in terms of increasing sales, training, and internal communication. It is critical in a business presentation to use a powerful, effective, and professional style presentation to boost your brand and win the competition.

Also, sleek presentations always attract attention and, more importantly, increase sales. So there is no doubt that designing a presentation is important in business. But how do you make an eye-catching presentation that also converts?

To be honest, creating a well-designed presentation takes a long time and a lot of effort. It is a lengthy process that includes deciding on the color scheme, length of the presentation, number of slide presentations, and other factors. Isn’t it a pain in the neck?

Here are 7 tips for creating a good online presentation.

Choose a Topic

There are two critical components to an amazing presentation. The first is your content. The second is your slides themselves. Design it, color scheme, and even fonts you use all contribute to how well or poorly your message will be received by your audience.

Start by choosing a topic that matters most to you. Why? Because enthusiasm will shine through when you speak about it, leaving an impression on everyone listening to what you have to say. Even if you’re speaking about a topic for someone else, come up with something that has personal value for you.

This means that you can tailor your information so it’s specific to who is in front of you, but make sure there’s something meaningful behind what you’re saying otherwise it will just sound hollow.

Pick the Right Format

The right presentation format can make or break your presentation. Not only should you consider factors like screen size and the number of participants, but you should also think about how much time you have to build your slide deck. Depending on what type of meeting you’re preparing for and how much time is allotted for your presentation, a certain format might be better than others.

For example, most executives have an attention span that lasts about 20 minutes. If there are four or more people who will be attending your meeting and taking notes, slides with handwritten text might not come across as clear as it would in a smaller meeting with fewer attendees who aren’t expected to take extensive notes during your presentation.

Write a Compelling Title

A presentation title can make or break a sale. Invest time in coming up with an intriguing title that is clear about what you’re offering and what audience it is intended for. Adding action verbs to your title such as boost, show, reveal, etc., will help drive more traffic to your presentation and compel viewers to share it with others.

Just don’t overdo it, titles that use too many words can look cluttered and risk being ignored altogether. Most importantly, make sure your presentation matches up with whatever promise you’re making in your title. If you say something isn’t complicated but then present a 20-slide deck in Powerpoint, viewers are bound to be disappointed.

Create a Compelling Outline

When you’re creating a presentation, think of it as an extension of your written work. Just like an essay, it needs to have a point and a specific message that your audience can take away from it.

To determine what you want to get across, ask yourself:

What is my goal for giving this presentation?

How can I make it engaging and useful?

Who will be in my audience?

If I were them, what would I want to know about my topic?

Think about how you can answer these questions by presenting data or a compelling narrative.

Style it with Graphics and Videos

The best way to catch your audience’s attention is by using graphics. You can incorporate infographics, stock images, and even company logos into your presentation to make it more interesting. Just be sure to always give credit where credit is due.

Videos also make for a great tool to keep people engaged in your presentation. And when appropriate, you can incorporate videos from SlideShare or YouTube into presentations to spice things up and add some personality.

With these tips in mind, you’ll be able to create an amazing presentation that will have people reaching for their phones before they know it.

Add a Call-to-Action Button

Don’t assume your audience knows what you want from them. At the end of your presentation, add a call-to-action button that prompts your audience to respond or share. You could try to send me an email at [email protected] if you want to talk more about [topic].

Or, for a customer asking for help, you might try Let us know what we can do better in the future by clicking here. Make sure to design an eye-catching button that stands out on the slide and that includes a link back to your contact page. Alternatively, they could be invited to leave feedback using an online form.

Share it on all Social Media Channels

To create an amazing presentation online that wows your audience, make sure you’re sharing it on all of your social media channels. If you don’t already have a large following, use Pinterest and other visual bookmarking sites to increase awareness about your presentations. Have a pin it for later button on your website so people can save images from your presentation to reference later.

Make sure you share it with relevant groups, such as relevant LinkedIn groups or Facebook Groups. You can also post it on forums or industry-specific blogs to get more views from potential clients or employers. To create an amazing presentation online that wows your audience, make sure you’re sharing it on all of your social media channels.

Depending on your niche, it’s important to make sure you spend time researching and checking out existing work in your space. But if there isn’t much else out there yet, be confident.
