Hevo is a “Product Led Growth” company, and we take immense pride in delivering the best product for our clients. This requires multiple teams to come together and deliver their best on a regular basis. It requires people to pursue excellence in their craft, inspire others and help them in their respective “pursuit of excellence”. It could be Talent Hiring, HR Ops, Marketing, Customer Experience, or Sales- it is our motive at Hevo to enable every Hevoite to deliver their best every single day.

While going through the Hiring process at Hevo, every candidate gets a taste of this pursuit of excellence. Hevo’s hiring process is unique, and fair and aims to get the best out of the candidates.

Interesting Case Studies:

Case studies and written assessments are a crucial part of hiring processes, often acting as elimination rounds to filter through a large pile of CVs. However, often we tend to see generic Case Studies or Aptitude tests irrespective of the role being hired for. At Hevo, the Case Studies are tailor-made for the respective roles and can guarantee that a person doing well in the Case Study round would do well on the job. For example — For a role in TA, you would be given a JD and a subsequent set of CVs from which you can select the best profile, stating our reasoning. The purpose of this is multifold- to test your awareness regarding what the requirements for a particular role would entail, as well as to understand your thinking and reasoning process.

This keeps the hiring process relevant and interesting.

Clear Communication:

Communication with candidates and Panel members is something that the Hevo TA team emphasizes. The various rounds are conducted systematically with prior information being given to any change in the process.

When a candidate’s CV is considered for a role at Hevo, the candidate receives all the information they would need to perform well in the process. This includes the JD, a detailed hiring process overview, FAQs, Team structure, expectations, etc. Also, we try to keep the candidate informed about the progress of their candidature and enable them in performing well. We also try to provide constructive feedback wherever and whenever we can.

We have an elaborate hiring process and we value the candidate’s time and effort. This helps us in building trust with candidates and ensuring that we provide an incredible Hiring experience.

How are we able to deliver an A+ hiring experience:

There are specific principles and practices, from a Talent Acquisition perspective, that form the backbone at Hevo. We strive to streamline the Hiring experience for every candidate, and also find suitable talent for a respective opening.

Below are some of the pointers we keep in mind to deliver the best hiring experience:

Fast turnaround time — Right from the initial contact with a candidate to the final stages of the panel discussion, we keep a quick turnaround time, which gives clarity to the candidate as to where he/she stands in the process.

Transparency — Ensuring necessary transparency at the start of the process means clearing up any doubts and confusions the candidate might have about the role, hiring process, or other job and company details. This transparency ends up saving valuable time for both parties in case our objectives do not align and helps any potential candidate have a satisfying experience with the hiring process.

Tailor-made Hiring Process — The hiring process at Hevo is tailor-made to suit the needs of the role and assess the qualities required for the role. They are never static and undergo constant change based on the requirements of the role and as seen fit by the panel.

We also try to ensure the candidate has an interesting time, going through the case study evaluations and giving it a sincere attempt.

To help give a context to this, during campus drives for Marketing and HR roles our case studies were designed to test certain functional qualities that will be critical to the respective role. For a recent Sales related campus drive in one of the top B-schools, we designed our case study and presented a scenario to the candidates where we tested their product pitch and demo abilities, as well as their written communication skills, which will be a focal point of driving sales.
We usually tend to avoid having group discussion rounds in our hiring process, as IT Sales involves a level of sophistication and subtle listening skills; qualities which are at times not easy to judge in a group discussion.

To sum it all up, the Hiring process followed at Hevo is designed to include a personal touch to the candidate, to ensure no candidate ever feels lost in the entire hiring process and is actively given appropriate feedback at every step.
