A few tricks from Allen

While reading the book “Getting things done”, I got many advices from Allen, which help to increase my efficiency.

  1. Allen wears a suit to “want” to do sports. Think, may be you too want to do something only in certain conditions.
  2. Organize a really comfortable workplace. It will help you in the future.
  3. It is better to have individual workplace than combined with the colleague.
  4. You should enjoy by your system of organization. If not, think about what is wrong with system.
  5. A phone call is not the best way of communication, because you will have not written copy of the conversation to which you would like to return or to clarify something. Try communicate with e-mails.
  6. Do not break the system. If you break one time, you will lose your credibility. Then all things will again settle in your head.
  7. Use checklists for repetitive procedures. For example, “the conference”, “cleanup companies”, etc..

There are only 7 advices, which I noticed. But the list will expand. I will try follow them.
