How are we to set about weaving our facts into systematic relations with each other?

By finding their meaning,by thinking them over. For example, if you will ask and answer this question about a new fact, process will help to weave it into a systematic relation with other facts. Why,how is it so?Who said is it so?..etc.

It is unusual to remember at the first place a stranger’s name. Observe the stranger’s look sharply.Look closely at his features.Get a clear, keen, vivid impression of his looks, personality and associate these with his name. When you meet him for the second or third time,If you remember his business, profession, fashion or phrase about it,you will recall his name.

How to remember dates…

Dates can best be retained by connecting them with important dates already firmly established in the mind.If you tried to remember that the birthday of your grandmother is in September 2,1927 it is far more likely to stick if you think of it in connection with September 2,1945 and remember that is 18 years before the end of World War II.

It is well to bear this principle in mind when you are selecting a telephone number.Tie them together with a story and the memorizing can be done with a fraction of the time.
