Are We Beating a Dead Horse?
The definition of beating a dead horse is to waste energy on a lost cause or a situation that cannot be changed.
We all want to live the good life! You know, the finer things in life. Therefore, we demand to make a nice wage. After all, we are putting in the time and effort every day for a company that needs to show some real appreciation for a job well done. I too feel that sentiment!
In these last few years, the world has been devastated by the pandemic, which caused many to completely change careers. Some stayed at the same job and weathered the storms, especially if they were “the essential workers”. Either way, people begun to realize that their wages didn’t fit the demand of the service the employees were expected to provide. Therefore…there was a demand for higher wages! And yes…many were able to receive those higher wages. Yay! 👏
Not too long after the higher wages and BOOM… “inflation” began knocking on the door! Could we still feel the increased wages, or did we begin to feel like we were in the same boat or some even in a sinking one?
We know that any time there is war going on, it causes inflation. We may not be directly in the war, but if it is our ally…more than likely our resources (funding) will be helping in some way.
