Borat! Some like him others hate him. The Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan 2006 movie has a subliminal business lesson. Copycat competition!

“My neighbor, Nursultan Tuleiakbay. He is pain in my a…….. I get a window from a glass, he must get a window from a glass. I get a step, he must get a step. I get a clock-radio, he cannot afford. Great success!” - by Borat

Over my short business life, I have seen this on and on, the competition that lacks on creativity and innovation. And for sure you have seen the same! This copycat competition does not add value to the product or the market. Run on your tail copy your features, though they lack your metrics and knowledge.

“He who strikes first, strikes twice.” - by Proverb, Mexican.

How can we take care of this copycat?

The same way Borat handled Nursultan the neighbour, push features until your competition cannot afford, until they break, easily with more iterations and efficient business metrics. While they are not looking, you take burden features away, keeping your business frictionless and agile.
