(KNOXVILLE, TN) Today, Mediarazzi announced an industry-first, complete Connected Television development package for less than $5,000. Mediarazzi’s new Express Channel Development program levels the playing field for smaller content creators to develop and deploy their own Connected Television channels and to compete equally with the larger channel operators in the same space. Connected Television is now the fastest growing segment of the entertainment industry, and the fastest growing new technology since the Internet.

With Mediarazzi’s Express Channel Development (ECD) program, content creators can quickly launch a custom, branded television channel simultaneously on the top three Connected Television platfoms — Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Opera TV — reaching an audience of more than 100 million viewers worldwide, that’s growing daily. Until now, channel development has run the gamut from $15,000 for a low-end, basic channel, to $25,000 for the equivalent of what Mediarazzi offers, to more than $50,000 for a high-end, feature-rich channel — but only for one platform. Mediarazzi now brings you all three for the one, low price.

“What makes this program amazing,” says Mediarazzi founder and CEO, Phil Autelitano, “is that it requires no additional work on the part of the content creator. We simply ingest all of their content, whether archived or in real-time, and deploy it for them. We do all the updates and management so they can concentrate on doing what they do best — creating more content.”

With thousands of content creators already distributing their content on YouTube and other video-based websites, Mediarazzi sees plenty of opportunities on the horizon, not just in converting YouTube channels to Connected TV channels, but in monetizing them as well.

“These content creators are already distributing their content on YouTube or DailyMotion and other sites, it only makes sense that they distribute it via Connected TV as well. They’re simply maximizing their content’s revenue potential. With sites likes YouTube paying $0 to $4 CPM, we can offer twice and three times that with Connected TV,” says Autelitano.

Mediarazzi’s Express Channel Development program will cost $4,995. This price includes complete channel development (including all graphic design and coding) for the three platforms — Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Opera TV — along with submission to the individual platforms and guaranteed approval. There is also a modest monthly maintenance fee, dependent on how much video content is uploaded, and ranging from $250/month for up to 20GB of storage, to $500/month for up to 100GB.

The base price also includes integration of advertising and monetization solutions, which can be used to offset the monthly fees.

Beyond the low-cost of development and deployment, probably the best feature of Mediarazzi’s Express Channel Program is that it offers unlimited bandwidth — which, for Connected TV channels, can be the biggest expense going forward, with some companies charging hundreds, if not thousands, per month just for that.

There are some limitations to the Express Channel Development program. For instance, features like in-app purchase (IAP) or single sign-on, are not included, but still available for a reasonable up-charge.

For the typical content provider who’s looking to distribute content either to generate income from ads or build awareness for their brand, or both, however, those limitations are not an issue. Autelitano strongly recommends the advertising-based model to all new channels.

“It’s my observation that most of the new Connected TV viewers are coming from ‘regular’ TV and are more or less set in their ways when it comes to programming. They see commercials as a necessary evil that don’t cost them anything but 30 to 60 seconds of time which they’re willing to give in trade for compelling content. Ask them to spend $.99 or $5, however, and you better be giving them something they can’t get on the Internet for free,” Autelitano says.

Phil Autelitano started Mediarazzi in March 2014 with the launch of his first channel, Raw Country, by far the most popular country music channel on Connected TV. Mediarazzi has since developed other popular Connected TV channels including The Movie Trailer Channel and The Video Game Channel as well as channels in partnership with Paula Deen, boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya, sports handicapper Brandon Lang (who’s life was portrayed by Matthew McConaughey in the film, Two for the Money), and Stand Up! Records, to name a few. The combined audience for Mediarazzi’s channels is over 100 million viewers.
