Meet a Member: Marcus Wermuth

Marcus has been part of the BoP Community for several months. He works as a Senior Engineering Manager at Buffer, an intuitive, streamlined social media management platform helping brands, businesses, agencies, and individuals build their brand and connect with their customers, by helping them drive meaningful engagement and results on social media. In his role as a Co-Active Coach, Marcus is passionate about helping others see the benefit of approaching leadership in a more human and empathetic way. He is also focusing his upcoming book on bringing a human approach to virtual leadership and collaborate better across cultures.

Marcus describes his purpose as:

“Helping others to become better leaders by becoming better humans.”

He also describes the biggest problem in the business world as:

“We need to continue to build a more human approach to leadership and management, especially in the virtual world that we are going to work in more.”

When asked about his reason for joining the community, this is what Marcus had to say:

“To connect with like-minded people and exchange thoughts and learn from them.”
