Future of business model innovations is customer-centric
We’re seeing how big corporations around the world are slowly adopting design thinking at the core of their companies and shifting towards a more customer-centric business model, but how does that translate into business activities?
As a design thinker and service designer, I work with organizations that are open to shifting something in their business processes to increase their ROI’s and growth metrics. It’s a pretty straight forward service that is paid performance-based right now. They pay me to come up with a new way of delivering their products and services to increase sales and they want to see an immediate return of investment. However, when it comes to the long term shift of the organization after I give my 2 cents on what they should change, things are not so straightforward anymore.
So I talked with the customer service of a cool Brazilian startup to get more insight into how the organization is actually driving change by design. Their current business model is very much customer-centric as they have a 2 sided platform where creators can make content while users are connected with different types of products that match their interests.
