Introduction:

As we are expanding our business globally, we have chosen two companies to compare, the advantages and disadvantages, so as to find which one can meet our needs.

UPS

UPS has 55 branches around the world. It delivers to more places than FedEx. It can transport products to any country worldwide. The transportation cost is 10 USD per kilogram which is lower than the cost of FedEx. It can deliver most products in four to six business days. However, customers can only track the delivery by phone.

FedEx

FedEx has 30 branches around the world. It focuses on China and the USA. Most of the branches are located in these two countries. It can transport products in three days which is faster than the delivery UPS provides. Customers can track the delivery not only by phone but also online. FedEx provides much more efficient service than UPS does. However, the transportation cost is 13 USD per kilogram which is higher than the cost of USP, and they don’t have a strong presence in the South Asian market.

Recommendations

From the above comparison, it is suggested that FedEx is the ideal option between the two international logistics companies, mainly because most of our potential customers live in China and the USA now. Additionally, they care about the quality of their service and the way of tracking the delivery.
