Comparative Report on Cosmetics Companies MAC and Shiseido

There is an upcoming fashion show which we are responsible for next year. Therefore, we would like to collaborate with a cosmetics company in order to get professional makeup for the models.

This report compares two cosmetics companies, which are renowned and also enthusiastic about this fashion show, MAC and Shiseido.

MAC:

M.A.C. has already successfully collaborated with our company over 5 times. They feature various kinds of makeup products, especially different colors of eye shadow, and have put forward the following proposal.

• Services and products included: 10 makeup artists, makeup products

Shiseido:

Even though we worked with Shiseido only once last year, it was a rewarding collaboration. Shiseido doesn’t specialize in eye shadow, but their foundation complements Asian skin tones better than MAC foundation does.

Shiseido’s proposal is as follows:

• Package Price: NTD250,000
• Services and products included: 3 makeup artists, makeup products

In general, both proposals are considered attractive, However, the number of makeup artists provided by Shiseido is not enough for one fashion show, and will request us to hire makeup artists; thus incurring an additional cost of NTD100,000, and making it more expensive than MAC’s proposal.

Therefore, MAC is suggested as the ideal choice.
