Details of incident:

One of our assistant engineers filed a complaint about a sexual harassment issue. Our manager, Mr. Minions was accused of groping a female employee in the storage room. The employee’s name is Ms Gudetama and she stated that she was organizing some items there when it happened. She was too scared to react, but Mr. Minions quickly left when some other employees entered the room. Now, Mr. Minions is on leave without pay.

Assessment:

After checking the CCTV, it showed that Mr. Minions did indeed enter the storage room and stand behind Ms. Gudetama. However, we couldn’t clearly see him make any physical advances from the CCTV clip. The workers who entered the room also stated that they didn’t see anything, and Mr. Minions has strongly denied it too. A final decision is yet to be made.

Action taken:

I have asked our Committee of Employee Grievances to assist in the investigation and passed all related evidence over to them. Another investigation meeting will be held this Friday. Besides this, a sexual harassment prevention workshop is scheduled to be held next month.
