This report was commissioned by the Personnel Department on November 12. It provides an in-depth analysis of the current employee satisfaction with the company’s catering service. Its findings are based on interviews conducted with two hundred employees from different departments. It was discovered that 75% of the employees were satisfied with the catering service, and of these 17% were very satisfied. Of the remaining 25%, 15% expressed extreme dissatisfaction with the catering service.

Key areas highlighted include the following:

  • Canteen closes after 3 pm — 25% of the interviewees consider it a serious issue
  • Poor quality of coffee — second most common criticism
  • Few vegetarian options
  • No provision for halal food
  • Uncomfortable seating in the canteen

In general, the catering service is thought to be acceptable. However, improvements need to take place with regard to the opening hours, quality of coffee, food options and the seating.

I recommend that we take the following steps:

  • Discuss the possibility of lengthening the opening hours of the canteen
  • Provide more food choices that include vegetarian and halal options
  • Replace the old chairs with new ones
