Details of incident:

One of the members of the R&D team, Jeffrey, who was working at ITI Multinational Pharmaceutical Company sent classified information to Joe Pharmaceutical Company. Fortunately, one of the staff members immediately found out and reported it to his supervisor. According to his report, the information that had been sent out included only old data of a previous product and Jeffery has been sent to the HR department.

Assessment:

Jeffrey was in charge of testing experiments and collecting data when the incident happened. Jeffrey admitted to sending out the information to another company because of a bug in the system.

Action taken:

Ken, a senior IT staff, has been requested to check the system thoroughly and make sure that no one can send out any information in a similar situation. In addition, there will be a new training course about security conducted for every staff member.
