Introduction:

The purpose of this report is to analyze whether Shanghai can be considered as a location for the new branch.

Findings:

First of all, there is a large percentage of people in Shanghai who are bilingual, speaking Chinese and English. Therefore it will be easy to hire qualified employees who can communicate effectively. Second, Shanghai is featured as the biggest financial hub in China. Thus, the demand for financial services is generally higher than other cities in China. Lastly, due to the intense competitiveness of the banking industry in Shanghai, it may be more difficult than we anticipated to expand into this new market.

Recommendation:

It is suggested that various kinds of financial instruments and services be provided and circulated to circumvent the above issue.

Conclusion:

Even though Shanghai is hyper-competitive, it is still felt that Shanghai would fulfill most of our key requirements.
