Trade Between Indonesia and Taiwan

This report aims to analyze the trend of international trade between Indonesia and Taiwan.

Imports from Indonesia:

Imports from Indonesia rose significantly to USD 4.9 billion from USD 4.3 billion in 2017. Indonesia played an important role in our trade, especially in coal($12 billion), petroleum gases($1 billion) and nickel mattes ($55 million). Imports of coal and petroleum gases had both increased sharply. However, there was a dramatic fall in nickel mattes by 61% due to many companies buying it from other countries. Despite the fall in nickel mattes, the demand for petroleum gases has been predicted to reach an all-time high within a decade. As a result, the total trade amount will not fluctuate next year.

Exports to Indonesia:

The overall trend climbed slightly from USD 2.7 billion to USD 3.1 billion. Semi-finished products of iron($32 million), knitted fabrics($33 million) and flat-rolled products of iron($34 million) all increased gradually because (the) demand went up. Considering that the economic environment in Indonesia has gotten better over the last few years, it is expected that exports to Indonesia will steadily rise in the future.
