Trend of Disposing Waste

The total amount of waste produced in the USA has increased by almost 300% even though new ways of disposal were introduced and changes were made over a period of time.

First, landfill waste increased sharply during 1970 to 1990, then remained the same in the following one decade, and finally started to decrease slightly till the present. Second, incinerated waste went down a bit from 1970 to 1980, and then increased steadily in the next thirty years. Finally, recycled waste has climbed continuously till now.
