1 shocking new stat shows just how furious Canadians are at Trump

Today is Canada Day and, short of wartime years, I imagine this will be among the most exuberant and patriotic shows of maple leaf pride in my lifetime.

That’s because, in the months since Donald Trump was re-installed as President of the United States, my fellow Canucks have felt under attack.

And as the leader of the country’s biggest province put it back in the winter, that “feels like a family member stabbing you in the heart”.

There may not be bullets flying, but Trump’s economic warfare against his country’s erstwhile top trade and security ally really has Canadians up in elbows … er, arms.

Had Trump simply stuck to genuine trade negotiations, the reaction may have been more muted.

Still angry, mind you, but without such a thirst for retribution in the form of bans and boycotts.

But when he started sabre-rattling about Canada’s sovereignty with his “51st State” talk and questioning the validity of our shared border, people lost their damn minds.

Now it’s easy to say, “people are mad, people are boycotting”.

I’m an analytical person too, so I definitely like to see some hard numbers before making any grand pronouncements.

Well … the latest stats from one particular U.S. industry came out this week, and they reveal in graphic detail the shocking extent of Canadians’ anger toward Trump.
