Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse for Elon Musk and his beat-up Tesla brand.

I mean, it’s already bad enough that Tesla stock is down 35% over the past 3 months, that sales continue to crater across Europe, and that resale values are tanking hard as embarrassed owners all try to dump their rides at the same time.

No, a much bigger problem than Musk’s stream-of-consciousness, business-trashing, far-right ramblings looms for Tesla.

A new tech breakthrough from the automaker’s biggest rival may have just solved the biggest hang-up that I (and I’m sure many other folks) have had about purchasing a full-electric vehicle in the past.

And it could spell disaster for a brand that’s already reeling.

The biggest problem with EVs (if you ask me)

A few months ago, I was at my son’s sports tournament when I got to talking to a fellow dad about his Tesla.

This was right before Musk went completely off the rails at Donald Trump’s inauguration, showing his love for the crowd and the new U.S. president with a, erhm, “Roman” salute.
