McDonald’s CEO reveals 1 sad, gross truth of living in America today

I’ve spent a lot of time in the United States over my 44 years wandering the planet.

My previous career included regular travel to all corners of America.

As a frozen Canadian, I’ve also been down to Las Vegas and South Florida more than a few times for some recreational respite from the snow.

And truth be told, I’ve loved my time in both those locations (it’s a shame Donald Trump’s attacks against my homeland have put those travels on hold for now).

But enjoying America forces you to ignore one of the biggest — perhaps the biggest — problems facing a country that already has a surplus of problems.

And the CEO of McDonald’s (of all people) just laid bare the sad reality for all to see.

The American Nightmare

Remember the American Dream?

The national ethos that suggested anyone who was willing to work hard — regardless of background — should have the freedom and opportunity to build a better life for themself and their family?

You don’t hear people talk much about it anymore, unless someone is trying to be funny.
