Projected price of ‘American-made’ iPhone will make you puke

--

I am, for better or worse, an Apple guy.

I use a PC at home (I’m typing on it now!), but if I had limitless funds, I’d switch it out for an Apple iMac in a second.

While I get by with this old clunker, there’s one area where I don’t know that I’d be able to make the switch to another brand.

I believe my first iPhone was a 5, which according to the Google machine was released in 2012.

iPhone and I have been exclusive ever since.

It’s not that I’m fundamentally opposed to switching to, say, a Google Pixel, but the idea of learning a whole new operating system (and annoying people with green text bubbles) always puts me off.

In fact, this recent PC Magazine review effectively called it a tie between the latest version of each company’s phone, adding it really just comes down to your OS preference.

So story checks out.

But I can tell you one thing that could finally push me out of the Apple ecosystem: if the devices got so expensive it would make me want to puke.

Well, thanks to U.S. President Donald Trump, his new consumer taxes (also known as tariffs), and his nonsensical desire to bring low-value electronics jobs back to America, that day could be close.

Want to know the projected cost of an “American-made” iPhone?
