- Start with a business problem and arrive at a problem statement before you get started with the data science modeling lifecycle. This is my favorite lesson, as it resonates with the data science sprint we do in my online Capstone AI Lab Course, where we take as similar approach.
- Look for public datasets such as https://www.cancerimagingarchive.net to access existing models such as sarcopenia.ai, to build the initial models before fine tuning the model with healthcare metrics for feature engineering.
- Swathi Young shared her strategy in involving business users when working remotely — radiologists and surgeons, by engaging them with remote interview recordings to validate the business assumptions.
