Busy is happy to reveal the first long-awaited community testing event. The updated version of BusyChain testnet V2 goes public on 22nd December 2021 at 3 PM CET and the world will be involved in the bug bounty event and will suggest improvements to the solution for 2 weeks. Rewards are high — in this phase, you can earn up to $2,000 in BUSY coins. Do not hesitate, check more and get ready to test Busy solution.

Details

  • Community testing starts on 22nd December 2021 at 3 PM CET and will end on 5th January 2022 at 3 PM CET (2 weeks).
  • During the testing period, the full testnet (BusyChain code, API documentation, testing portal, etc.) will be available and users will be able to submit findings (bugs, errors, mistakes in the code) and suggest improvements or new features.
  • After closing community testing, Busy Team will pause operations on BusyChain, review submitted findings, evaluate them, perform necessary corrections and release rewards for the bug-hunters for accepted bugs. All findings will be evaluated as per the Risk Evaluation Matrix (below) and the reward will be calculated based on the severity of the bug. If two testers will submit the same bug, the timestamp of the submission will be taken during the allocation of the reward, e.g., only the fastest tester will be rewarded.

Parts of the solution that will be available

Full BusyChain

  • GitHub BusyChain code — https://github.com/busy-technology/BusyChain_testnet_v2
  • Transactions — every created address will get automatically 5,000 Busy coins for testing purposes. Users will be able to create more than one account to test transfers, messaging, governance voting, and other functions.
  • Staking — will be available for everyone; staking reward is 33% p.a.
  • Voting governance — users will be able to create a voting pool and test the voting process.
  • Messaging — every user will be able to send a message to the other user through Testing portal.
  • Create tokens — users will be able to create and test standard asset BUSY20 tokens, NFT tokens, GAME tokens and BUSYNFTs for protection of work rights (for the future of freelance platform).
  • Full blockchain is a part of the bug-hunting event.

BusyChain API

BusyScan

  • BusyScan is Busy’s explorer. It shows all blocks, transactions, wallets, and tokens in the BusyChain.
  • BusyScan is not a part of the bug-hunting event, but recommendations and suggestions are welcomed.

Testing portal

  • The testing portal will allow non-skilled users to test BusyChain through simple UI. Each function will be available to be tested. The website itself does not protect any fields and parameters passed to the API.
  • The testing portal is not a part of the bug-hunting event.

How to start?

Here are all materials to start testing:

How will the findings be evaluated?

The evaluation of findings will be considered based on the Risk Evaluation Matrix below. Based on the severity (comparison of consequence and likelihood), a specific reward will be assigned.

What will be the reward?

The Busy reward program provides a criterium for the individual reward per bug based on the severity. The reward will be issued ONLY in $BUSY ERC-20 tokens. Rewards are set to be from $50 up to $2,000!

Calculated rewards will be distributed in BUSY tokens

After the event is over, an anonymous list of bug-hunters will be published, together with information about how many bugs/errors were approved and how many rewards were assigned.

Show your skills in finding bugs, errors, mistakes and show your enthusiasm to be part of the Busy ecosystem!
