A spring in photos
The garden has been buzzing with life this spring. In Southern California, we always have hummingbirds, but this time of year all of the “out-of-towners” are showing back up and the territorial wars are heating up. I’m going through sugar for the feeders by the ten-pound bags.
My favorite of the garden bulbs, the tiny little snowbells, are lighting up the darkest nooks and crannies. I’ve been experimenting with some different macrophotography techniques in quest of the “perfect” method to capture the essence of these delicate little flowers. This photo was the result of what I call the “flashlight technique” to illuminate these pale petals.
The grape hyacinths and daffodils always bring a smile to my face too.
