The travel industry is an exciting space to play in, and we’ve been lucky enough to do so in many ways with our partner Hotels.com. We started by integrating an Uber Button into the Hotels.com app, helping travelers get to and from their hotel with a simple tap. Hotels.com, however, realized they could equally benefit in offering their own Button, choosing us as their preferred partnership channel for mobile.

Today we’re excited to announce our latest creation — the Hotels.com Concierge. Think of this as a mobile concierge in the palm of your hand: whether it’s booking a table, a ride to the hotel, or finding a local deal while in town, users will now have an array of options during their travels, all with the touch of a Button through the Hotels.com app.

The Concierge, which is powered by Button and the partners within our Marketplace, features a number of brands — Uber, providing travelers what they need to get around; OpenTable, making it easy to find and reserve tables at top restaurants; Groupon, offering up the latest in local activities; and delivery.com (US) and hungryhouse (UK) when a night in or takeout is needed.

The travel industry has forever been powered by links, taking consumers to complementary experiences around the web, and with Hotels.com Concierge we’ve launched the first mobile solution for the travel industry. Booking a trip on mobile — from flights to hotel rooms and everything in between — is often a siloed and broken experience for consumers; however, Button’s technology is connecting the dots for travelers and making partnerships between brands a simple, efficient process.

“Mobile is changing the way people travel, and at the forefront of that we’re constantly innovating and investing in mobile to offer more than just hotel bookings. We want to make our customers lives easier before, during and after their trip.” — Daniel Craig, Hotels.com Senior Director of Mobile
