What is the Buying.com Prime Protocol?
Buying.com’s Prime Protocol is the first decentralized protocol designed to level the playing field in e-commerce. As it exists now, the e-commerce industry is controlled by established giants like Amazon and Alibaba, with whom smaller sellers typically can’t compete. Things like bulk pricing, lack of distribution resources, and expensive last-mile delivery put smaller businesses at a disadvantage. But, Buying.com is changing this.
Our innovative Prime Protocol utilizes the Buying.com app, and a system of three main decentralized e-commerce products — WeBuy, iDistribute and Genesis. WeBuy, the first product in the system harnesses the power of social group buying to help small sellers and consumers meet minimum purchasing requirements and qualify for bulk pricing. iDistribute, the next product in the system, is a a blockchain-powered micro-distribution network that uses the share-economy model to turn spare space and vehicles into distribution centers and delivery trucks. And last, Genesis, a decentralized retailer-generated product platform, gives small sellers virtually limitless access to inventory and helps combat inventory inefficiency.
