More Institutional Investors Turn To Bitcoin

As part of a new research by an analyst company Chainalysis, experts have made a few interesting finds. It turns out that from late 2019 to May 2020, the share of professional investors in cryptocurrency in the US increased from 87% to 92%.

By the way, the US comes second in terms of cryptocurrency transaction volume, the first being East Asia.

North American addresses saw 14.8% of all institutional investor activity over the past year. The study notes that American investors move far greater amounts of cryptocurrency compared to investors from Europe and Asia — starting from $1 million and up. The number of such transactions has also risen over the year from 46% to 57%.

Chainalysis experts believe this data indicates that cryptocurrencies are becoming a fully-fledged asset class in their own right.

Analysts also believe that as more regulators and financial institutions gain a better understanding of the transparency advantages that cryptocurrencies offer, they will grant this part of the financial market more and more of their trust.
