$1.3 Billion Transaction Completed On Bitcoin Network

During the night on Thursday, 11 June, an unknown user moved 132 255 BTC in just 2 minutes. This is equivalent to US $1.3 billion.

According to Blockchain.com, the transaction was split into three batches of 44 085, 44 235 and 43 935 BTC. Transaction fee was just $1.9 total.

The largest Bitcoin transaction in history was made on 16 November 2011. On that day 500 000 BTC was moved, equivalent to US $1.32 million at the time, now worth $4.9 billion.

In October 2019 the Bitcoin network saw 112 027 BTC moved in one transaction (over $930 million worth at the time). The commission fee for the operation was $3.89.
