As the interest in our company is growing, in this article we go into describing the plans of the Bware Lab teams, covering topics like the Decentralized Marketplace MVP release and our business roadmap.
Decentralized Marketplace MVP
The main goal of our team for the immediate future is to prepare the release of a minimum viable version of our primary product, the Decentralized API Marketplace. The MVP will be a functional prototype of our platform, focusing on the end-user side, while the nodes will be provided in a centralized manner by Bware Labs.
As part of this release, the end user will be able to connect to the app through a Metamask wallet and generate dedicated endpoints allowing them to interact with Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain mainnets. There is no charge for the use of our MVP, however a maximum of two endpoints (one Ethereum and one BSC) can be generated for each Metamask wallet and the interaction with the endpoints is rate-limited at 5 requests per second. To streamline the user experience, we have also included a minimal Dashboard which provides basic details and management options for the endpoints.
Next steps after MVP
Following the MVP release, the functionality of the Decentralized API Marketplace will be expanded to include Testnet nodes, increase the number of endpoints per account, remove the rate limit (based on the subscription tier selected by the user) and add support for additional chains (currently planned: Polkadot, Sifchain, Matic and Ethereum 2.0). A subscription-based payment scheme through Metamask will be created, with multiple tiers available for different user profiles.
In a first phase, the entire infrastructure will be provided and maintained by Bware Labs. Later on, the platform will support the on-boarding of third-party Node Providers who will be able to integrate their Full Nodes into our ecosystem and receive rewards for fulfilling requests. Third Party Node Providers will be required to stake Bware tokens in order to join the platform and will be continuously monitored for good behaviour via our Node Integrity Protocol. As more third party nodes are on-boarded, the Bware Labs nodes will be decommissioned and we will transition to a decentralised infrastructure.
To complement the Decentralized Marketplace, we are building the ERC-20 to BSC-20 bridge which will allow our BWR token to be supported in both ecosystems, giving our users the ability to transfer their tokens between the two networks. See our Binance Smart Chain Integration article for more information.
Another development track we are pursuing as an ongoing activity is the creation and operation of Validators on various chains, for which we accept delegations. This way, we gain valuable knowledge and experience on the blockchain particularities, which we will then leverage for our main product.
We will finalize the private investor collaborations following the launch of our MVP. Soon after that, targeted for April 2021, we will have our public sale, more details about that to be announced. Longer-term plans include establishing the governance structure and protocol incentive strategy for the Node providers. More details about Bware Labs Tokenomics can be found here.
