How to create an Optimism API endpoint
You can now generate Optimism endpoints in Blast! If you’re a builder interested in Optimism, you now have an easier way to interact with this low-cost and lighting fast Ethereum L2: Use Blast to generate dedicated endpoints and keep building!
How to generate a dedicated Optimism API endpoint in Blast
- Go to blastapi.io
- Press on Get endpoint or Connect
- If you never used Blast before:
- Connect with your Metamask wallet and follow the steps on-screen
- Sign the Metamask pop-up to login
- Create a project to be able to generate endpoints or use one of the projects you have already created
- Inside the project space, go to Available endpoints and select Optimism
- Select Mainnet and press Activate to create the endpoint
- You now have your own Optimism mainnet endpoint!
- Click on it to see the RPC and WSS addresses, which you can copy and use in your projects!

How to use the Optimism Public API in Metamask
- Go to https://blastapi.io/public-api/optimism
- Press on “Add to MetaMask”
Now, your Metamask wallet for Optimism will use the Blast Public Api, instead of the default one!
