Public APIs now available in Blast
Why are we launching a Public API service?
We’ve always said that we are committed to making things easier for developers from all backgrounds to build on a vast array of blockchains, as we believe that this is the key to increasing adoption and utility of the Web3 ecosystem.
By significantly improving the infrastructure offering of each blockchain project, we free up developers to focus on their main goals and bring apps to life easier and more quickly. We think we have already proven our commitment, by offering a large number of supported blockchains, for both mainnet and testnet, and keeping a Free Subscription plan. Just to take things further, we have now released a Public API in Blast, available for all the networks we support and we will continue to update it for all the new networks that we will add in Blast in the future.
How is a Public API Endpoint different from a Blast endpoint?
A Public API endpoint is an application programming interface openly available to all developers, that can be used to send API requests to blockchains. You do not need to register for an account or perform any other authorization to use a Public API endpoint, but you must keep in mind that all endpoints are rate-limited to 25 requests/second. As opposed to the public ones, the endpoints generated from Blast accounts, are unique and accessible only by the account owner while the rate limit is adjustable based on your subscription tier.
Where can I find the Public APIs offered by Bware Labs in Blast?
Go to blastapi.io. In the top-right corner of the page, next to Docs and Pricing, you can now find Public API.
Aside from the possibility to get endpoints for your desired network, you can also see global statistics for the usage of this service, and statistics for each network. This way, you can assess the congestion on the Public endpoints and have all the necessary info to see if you need to scale by creating an account on the platform.
