My first month at BWP Group has been filled with surprises — good ones! Having most recently worked in accounting practice, the lively atmosphere at BWP has come as a breath of fresh air. The music in the office, and the odd Nerff gun battle, makes work a pleasant place to be. The whole expression BWP Family is also brought to life, with everybody being friendly and supportive. The end of year celebration party was a great way to experience what we provide for our customers (and I’d like to say I think they are in very safe hands!), and as I’d only been here 2 weeks, it was also great to get to know people in a less formal setting.
As Management accountant I’m just starting to get really stuck into the reporting, having spent the first few weeks getting to know the systems and the people I need to work most closely with. I’m really looking forward to playing my part in improving the financial reporting, and helping the operational teams understand how they contribute to the figures.
