Due to our ongoing success we are now seeking an Account Executive to join our award winning teams.

Purpose of the role:

  • A key role within the account team providing support to the team overall and to the Account Manager in particular
  • To administer and co-ordinate projects through the agency.
  • To develop excellent working relationships within the team, the wider agency, clients and with suppliers to facilitate the smooth progression of work through the agency.
  • To manage you own ‘first tier’ accounts fully.

Key responsibilities:

Relationship & account management

Clients:

  • Actively seek to add value to the project work to exceed expectations.
  • Keep Account Manager abreast of project progression to enable them to manage client expectations.
  • Help deliver projects on time, on budget and to brief.
  • Approach your role with a proactive ‘can do ‘ attitude.
  • Help manage client expectations at all times!

Suppliers:

  • Develop, manage and maintain good relationships with our suppliers. With guidance, communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively to ensure efficient delivery against client requirements.

BWP team player:

  • Be prepared to step in and provide support in any way required.
  • Present activity internally to develop presentation skills.

Financial control & management:

  • Ensure financial controls and processes are adhered to.
  • Raise purchase orders as required.
  • Sense check purchase orders against quotes, and details on the project management system.
  • Demonstrate numerical literacy.

Project management & process:

  • Uphold all agency processes, procedures and controls at all times, ensure clear documentation, filed correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of stages of implementation including : Research, creative, artwork, production, media, digital, social media, web and PR.
  • Liaise with and develop a good relationship with all internal departments: PR, Digital, Studio, Account Management.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management.
  • Manage activity through the project management system.
  • When asked, prepare quotes.
  • Write briefs, brief the studio and manage work through and back to the Account Manager.
  • Liaise with suppliers over brief, timings, costs, raise purchase orders and monitor delivery.
  • Deliver desk research as required.
  • Create media schedules as required.
  • Proof read and check all deliverables against the brief before forwarding to the Account Manager.
  • Where applicable on your own ‘first tier’ accounts raise invoices.

Commercial awareness & opportunities:

  • Develop your commercial awareness: industry knowledge, good understanding of the clients’ business and competitive market place, and the marketing delivery channels — ask questions, research on your own, look at competitor activity.
  • Actively take part in brainstorms to see the creative commercial process in action.

Attributes & skills:

As a BWP account management team player you will be:

A people person: Confident, increasing in self-assurance, capable, able to build effective, warm and engaging relationships quickly both internally and externally with suppliers and to a degree with clients. A ‘can do’ attitude. A willingness to learn, ask questions, proactively seek to develop your knowledge.

A big picture person: To work with your Account Manager to understand the bigger picture — the client’s perspective, the wider context and commercial opportunities both for BWP and for the client.

A detail person: Attention to detail is key to ensure effective and efficient client delivery. You’re organised and structured, comfortable working within standard processes and procedures with clear time guidelines. Competent across the Microsoft office suite.

A numbers person: Good with figures and spreadsheets, a basic understanding of turnover, margin, forecasting, perceived value for money.
