Consensus Invest 2018: Bybit’s debut attracted foreign investments

Bybit’s participation in Consensus Invest 2018 drew the attention of several foreign institutions and companies, signaling the bright future of the company.

On November 27, 7:00 EST, the event held by Coindesk, the world’s top cryptocurrency media company, opened its doors. Founded in 2017 and attracting hundreds of companies and thousands of participants since its’ inception, the event grew to become cryptocurrency’s most expected gathering of the year.

The event regrouped participants from all around the world including industry leaders, international investment institutions, heads of famous hedge funds, representatives from blockchain and/or cryptocurrency companies.

The main topics discussed during the one-day consensus gravitated around the future of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and how these could be used, further developed, and integrated into our lives in the coming years.

Other major topics discussed during the event dealt with predictions made for 2019, trading Bitcoin, the price of Bitcoin for 2019, Bitcoin futures, and the cryptocurrency market in 2019.

Bybit Sponsorship

Bybit, one of the companies invited to the event, decided to step up its participation from that of a simple invitee to a full-fledged sponsor.

Bybit is a cryptocurrency derivatives exchanges. The company, headquartered in Singapore, has a fully functional trading platform and will debut to the public on December 1, 2018. Upcoming products include futures trading, altcoins integration such as ETH perpetual contracts and cryptocurrency to real-world assets trades.

At 7:00 EST, Bybit’s team arrived and welcomed visitors on the fifth floor to its double booth numbered 48 & 50. The team consisted of the CEO Ben Zhou and representatives of the core team.

The booth proved very popular, with several hundred visitors throughout the day asking questions and demonstrating interest in Bybit’s features, advantages, cryptocurrency derivatives, BTC perpetual contracts and traditional financial instruments applied to cryptocurrencies.

What happened during Consensus Invest 2018

The event, held in New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel, opened its doors on November 27, 2018 at 7:00 EST. After registration, the thousands of participants had access to 3 floors where hundreds of crypto-companies presented their products. Numerous speeches by internationally recognized figures punctuated the day with topics as varied as “What is a Security” to “How Cryptocurrencies can be Integrated into our Daily lives”.

Another major takeaway from this year’s Consensus is that institutional players are getting more and more interested in the cryptocurrency market, which will bring change and maturity to the market; this of course will require more deeply regulated exchanges with higher standards to trade within.

The event includes hedge fund managers, institutional players and investors interested in learning more about Bybit.
