Cleopatra’s Final Soliloquy

Amidst the silent whispers of the Nile,
A queen reflects upon her empire’s fall,
Her heart, a battleground of love and guile,
Cleopatra, facing her final call.

Once hailed as Isis, goddess crowned in grace,
Now a mere mortal, time’s relentless prey,
Her kingdom lost, yet majesty in place,
In golden halls, her thoughts begin to stray.

O mighty Caesar, lover turned to shade,
Your vision of our Rome and Egypt, twined,
A fleeting dream, by Brutus’ dagger frayed,
In your demise, my own fate was designed.

Antony, oh my valiant Roman flame,
Together we dreamt of conquests and fame,
Yet in our pursuit of a shared throne,
We found ourselves, in death, utterly alone.
