EIC Accelerator, formerly known as SME Instrument, is a European Innovation Council mechanism that supports top-class innovators, entrepreneurs and scientists with funding opportunities and acceleration services.

Only 4% of the small and medium enterprises (SME) applicants are selected by this Horizon 2020 program. With this said, we’re proud to announce that Frenetic, a disrupting startup that created a technology for designing magnetic components using artificial intelligence techniques and that’s also part of Bynd VC’s portfolio, was one of the few selected companies to take part on this show.

The chosen SMEs, depicted by the European tool as a high-risk but high-potential companies, receive support to develop and launch onto the market new innovative products, services and business models that can drive economic growth.

Five years after its foundation, Frenetic will now receive funding and optional equity and will be offered business coaching and mentoring to scale up. The team will be granted with extra acceleration services to connect with investors, corporates and other entrepreneurs. Moreover, the startup will gain visibility and boost chances of success in the European and international markets.

According to the CEO José María Molina Garcia, this will help Frenetic giving their customers faster responses, better customer service and, on top of this, better magnetics.
