BZE Status Update March 21, 2025

It’s been a while since our last status update — and we know many of you have been eager to hear what we’ve been working on. Truth is, we’ve had our heads down, focused on building and improving the BZE chain.

🚀 Network Upgrade v7.2.0: Better Trading, Easier Access, and Smarter Burning

One of the biggest milestones since our last update was the launch of network upgrade v7.2.0 — a release focused on making BZE faster, easier to use, and more efficient.

Here’s what changed:

• Bulk Order Execution on the DEX
  Previously, executing multiple trades meant sending multiple transactions — each with its own fee. With v7.2.0, orders can now be executed in batches, which means fewer transactions and lower costs. You can now fill multiple orders in one go and pay just one trading fee and one transaction fee. It’s a smoother experience for everyone.
• Ledger Support for Our DApp
  Ledger users, we heard you! You can now use your Ledger device to sign transactions directly in our DApp. This brings a big boost to both security and usability, making it easier to manage your BZE assets with confidence.
• Automated Coin Burning from Trading Fees
  Our burner module just got smarter. Instead of requiring a governance proposal every time we want to burn coins from trading fees, the process is now fully automated. Coins are burned every 4 weeks, helping maintain long-term value and keeping the protocol lean — no manual steps needed.

This upgrade marks a big step forward in making BZE more efficient and user-friendly.

🛠️ Our DApp Keeps Evolving

Our DApp is the main hub for everything BZE — from trading on the DEX to staking rewards and more. We’re continuously working on improving it, adding new features, and making the overall experience smoother for everyone.

On top of that, the POSTHUMAN Validator Team is currently working on a full UI redesign. So, in the coming months, you can expect a fresh new look and an even more intuitive interface. The best version of the BZE DApp is still to come.

🗺️ 2025 Roadmap & What We’re Building Right Now

Our 2025 roadmap is live on the website! It outlines our key goals and major updates planned for this year, giving everyone a clear view of what’s ahead.

That said, not everything we’re working on is listed there. Some initiatives are still in early exploration or happening behind the scenes — and if they come to life, they’ll be announced when the time is right. Just know that the roadmap is a guide, not a limit.

As for what’s happening right now — we’ve moved past the planning phase and are actively building the next network upgrade. This release will bring:

• AMM liquidity pools to our DEX
• A Cosmos SDK upgrade
• Other important features & improvements

Development is in full swing, and we’re targeting a mainnet launch in April. More details will be shared as we get closer!

🧱 Max Supply Cap: 400 Million BZE

Following a recent governance proposal, the BZE community has officially decided to set a maximum supply cap of 400 million BZE — a major milestone in defining the future of our tokenomics.

Right now, around 13–14 million BZE are minted each year, and the current total supply is about 261 millions. So while we’re still many years away from reaching the 400M cap, this mechanism will be implemented this year to ensure the blockchain fully enforces the community’s decision.

Here’s how it will work:
When the supply hits 400 million, the blockchain will automatically set inflation to 0, stopping any further minting.

Since BZE has a built-in burning mechanism, the total supply can decrease over time. If enough coins are burned and the supply falls back below 400M, minting can resume — but only if the community approves it via a governance-controlled parameter.

This ensures that the max supply isn’t just a guideline — it’s enforced on-chain and shaped by the community.

🎉 BZE Turns 3 — Thank You for Being Part of the Journey!

Today is a special day for us — it’s BZE’s 3rd birthday! Our very first block was produced on March 21, 2022 at 22:39 UTC, and it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come since then.

Three years ago, we made a big move: we migrated from our original blockchain to the Cosmos SDK. Like any big transition, the beginning was a bit slow — we had to adjust, lay down new foundations, and rebuild some core pieces.

But now, things are moving faster. We’re shipping new features more often, improving the chain, and opening up new possibilities — all thanks to the continued support of our community.
