BZEdge status update February 14, 2020
2020 is here and we’re already in the middle of the second month. As time passes we try to adapt and become more reliable as a concrete project in this crypto space. We’re looking forward on bringing features and utility to our network and friendly projects.
In the weeks that passed since the New Year we monitored our MN network for issues and possible new implementations. All other tools we try to bring to life depend on BZEdge as an asset and network of resources. BZE coin is the heart, our heart, and our focus. It will always be our main concern and will always be no.1 on our priorities list, leaving anything aside when we feel we can bring value and usability to the coin.
BZEdge v3.0.1
This small update was queued for release in December but we decided to postpone it until now due to holidays. We had limited resources during this time so we decided to keep them for monitoring and in case of emergencies. Brains were squeezed for ideas about BZGate and how to decentralise its features — but more details about it later.
This new version contains a few minor — but important — bug fixes, some unused code cleanup and the implementation of a new RPC method called ‘rewardactivemns’. This RPC method was designed to help users send a certain amount of coins to all active masternodes. Please be aware that this method uses a “local” copy of MNs list. The list can be poorly synced or might miss some newly activated masternodes that just joined the network.
The reason behind designing this method is that not all our tools will be decentralised from day 1, but they will share profits with MN owners through this method. Besides this, nowadays there’s a habit in crypto chats to use “rain” bots to “make it rain”… well, you can “rain” on MN holders. They deserve gifts because the network is more important than anything else.
BZGate
Our payments processing platform comes to our focus. We have redesigned how the system will work and the entire architecture to make it scalable and ready to handle hundreds of payments per second. It will consist of multiple backend applications working with each other and communicating through different channels to intermediate payments between customers and businesses — and even more features dedicated not only to businesses.
Help needed
We have plenty of positions opened for BZEdge holders that want to contribute to the project. We’re seeking multiple ways to attract community members to engage in future actions.
Donations are always used to hire individuals on short term and in the future we will use them for marketing campaigns and materials. The wisely usage of the funds is guaranteed by Alpha Team and the terms of donations can always be discussed and negotiated for the greater good of the project. We might open a Patreon or build a small platform where people can financially support specific BZE projects that they find suitable or important — or both.
Future changes to discuss
We have a rich list of features under our scope, some of them might be developed some might not. We’re eager to hear your opinion too.
