Change is inevitable. It’s a part of life and allows us to grow.

When I think about the recent changes in my life, I think about:

  • Moving to a brand-new city where I knew no one
  • Getting married
  • Finding a new job in an industry I knew nothing about

And on top of all of that, my life is about to change even more with a baby on the way. That’s a lot of change in a year, and I knew it was important for me to find a job that had a close-knit company culture. I wanted to find an organization that would support me both personally and professionally. That’s when I was introduced to CSpring.

The Hiring Process

I felt comfortable right from the beginning of the hiring process. I talked with one of CSpring’s Talent Acquisition Partners over coffee where I was able to explain what I was looking for in a low-pressure, casual setting. It didn’t feel like a superficial chat about what was on my resume -he really got to know who I was as a person through thoughtful questions and active listening. I was able to meet several other members of the CSpring team throughout the process, including Cynthia Pizarro, the company’s President.

I knew this was the place I was looking for. The company culture was unparallel to anything I’d ever experienced before. I couldn’t wait to get home and tell my wife all about the interview and how much I really wanted to be a part of CSpring. I kept thinking about what Cynthia told me, “ If you didn’t leave the interview feeling better than when you came in, its probably not the place for you. “ I anxiously awaited the next phone call or email letting me know if I got the job or not.

Thankfully, a few days after the meeting I got the call. “ We would like to offer you a position with CSpring! “ From day one I knew I was joining the right company.

My First Day

I walked in on my first day feeling nervous, but those nerves went away almost immediately. CSpring has “Monday Muffins” where everyone in the company is welcome to come and socialize over breakfast to start the week off right. I was also assigned a company ambassador who took me out to lunch, got to know me, and was available to answer my “unofficial” questions about CSpring. I left my first day feeling like I had just walked into a new family.

Company Culture & The Four C’s

We are a company that is driven by its core values, “The Four C’s”: Committed, Collaborative, Consultative, and Caring. CSpring’s employees truly exemplify and live out these values every day — I’ve encountered it numerous times when it has applied to me directly.

Whether it’s in ways of just being caring and supportive about having a kid on the way, getting high fives from my manager and president after completing my final test for my Master’s, to being recognized at a companywide quarterly meeting for this accomplishment — CSpring cares about its people. We strive to have an unparalleled culture and it shows on a day to day basis.

Continued Learning Opportunities

While we often celebrate personal success, CSpring is a company that is actively involved in career development. We are an active partner with TrueU, a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis that helps build great leaders. Through CSpring’s partnership with TrueU, I’ve attended several networking events and conferences to help in my career growth and can attest to its impact. Encouraging continuous learning and growth is something you don’t find in a lot of companies.

Internally, we host Lunch & Learns once a month where an employee presents on a subject that they are passionate about. I love being able to hear from my colleagues on topics that they’re passionate about but don’t necessarily have the chance to exercise in their everyday work. But it doesn’t stop there, we regularly have scheduled events like Happy Hours and other celebrations for accomplishments where the entire CSpring team can connect with one another.

Overall, I couldn’t ask for a better workplace. The company culture and the relationships I’ve made here make it easy to come to work every day. Everyone is an open book and is always willing to help you succeed not only in your career but in life.
