Everyone has a story, and we want to hear yours.
Welcome to COSY: an online magazine emphasising authenticity and vulnerability. We are interested in showcasing real stories from real people, starting conversations about subjects relevant for a new generation of thinkers.
We believe the future of media means giving a voice to perspectives that are currently ignored by mainstream publications.
These are the stories we want to read, because we actually care about the people writing them, so we are committed to creating a COSY space for these stories.
We are independent, organically grown, and always looking for submissions. We also hope to be a support system allowing aspiring writers to flourish with us.
If you want to publish your work with us, we have three simple steps.
1. Register as a COSY writer.
We first need to take some information from you so we can add you as a COSY writer.
We also promote new posts on our Instagram account @cosy__land: so if you enter your Instagram username in the form below, we can tag your work when its published.
2. Tag your submission.
We categorise submissions based on five main tags:
Don’t worry if you think your article doesn’t exactly fit into any of these categories. We are incredibly open with the submissions we allow, and have purposely made these categories broad to encompass all kinds of writing.
3. Submit your draft to COSY.
Finally finished your masterpiece? All you need to do now is submit your draft for us to review.
We publish things as soon as possible, providing everything is in order.We will email you on when we intend on doing so.
To speed up the process, you could add original pictures to your work, or spell-check your work again prior to submission.
Your article may be subjected to formatting where there are grammatical errors and typos, but we strictly intend on keeping posts as faithful to the original as possible.

Real > Fake News
Authenticity, honesty and vulnerability are at the heart of what COSY stands for as a publication. In a world where fake news and dogma pervades every corner, we want real stories from real people.
That is to say, we want to make sure everything written in your story is true, regardless of hyperbole. We mostly prefer articles that come from a first person perspective, but we are flexible as long as your writing comes from an authentic space.
No word count…
…but keep in mind shorter and concise articles (around 5 minutes) are more likely to be read and garner attention.
Aim for Medium Curation by following their guidelines.
If you read Medium curation guidelines, it will help you gain more exposure by allowing Medium to share your article with other people who share interest in the same subjects as you. This also means you can gain more money for your work, and COSY could be on the Medium front page.

No advertisements or plugging your own work — unless approved by an editor.
We are committed to presenting an advertisement-free publication. But we also love to support independent ventures like ours, and occasionally may allow you to plug your work under certain conditions — like plugging your photography/art in your article, or talking about your company if it is relevant to your article. Just ask us first to make sure we’re on the same page.
Ensure images are copyright free and credit is appropriately cited in the caption if you choose to add them.
That means, they either belong to you, or you have permission to use them.
We have COSY artists who kindly volunteer their art to use on great articles, so if you’re unsure, just leave your draft blank and we’ll contact you about a potential opportunity.
Grammatical errors will be checked and corrected before we publish the article.
But still…please proofread your drafts!
