Cooperating with people with different personalities is a common thing, but it’s not always an easy thing. If we can’t handle diversity properly, we may judge others by our own bias. We should keep in mind that everyone is different and embrace diversity. Without a doubt, it’s important to build an inclusive work environment, and here are some effective ways to create an inclusive workplace.

First of all, interact with people from different teams or departments. We usually interact with certain people, if we share our ideas or problems with someone unexpected, we may have different perspectives and come up with new insight and solutions. Secondly, rotate who runs meetings. In some cases, same people talking all the time, while others remain silent or disengaged. Give everyone a chance to in charge of the meeting can improve engagement in meetings. This hopefully can bring out lively discussions and it’s a good way to hear everyone’s voice. Last but not least, create a culture which naturally encourages employees to become more inclusive. If anyone is feeling left out, someone in the company like coordinator can help them get connected with the group.

In my opinion, it’s not only important to know how to build an inclusive work environment, it’s also essential to know the values of being inclusive. Being inclusive helps you completes things that you can’t done it alone.
